The local Tournament o­n Saturday afternoon in Roanoke was a success. We had five participants, with a player from North Carolina winning the tournament.  Continue reading for all the details.
In the first round, Levi was matched up with Roy from NC.  In the closest match of the tournament, Roy won, 5-4. At the other table, King David beat Esther, 5-2.  Melchizedek had a bye.

In the second round, the winners of the first round matched up.  Roy beat King David, 6-0.  Melchizedek won his game with Levi, 5-1, and Esther had a bye.

Going into the final round, Melchizedek and Roy were leading the field with 6 game points apiece.  They faced off at the top table.  Esther and Levi also played in the final round.  Roy and his Garden Tomb/Speed deck earned a convincing 6-2 victory.  Levi shut out Esther, 5-0, while King David had a bye.

It was great to get to meet some players from other states.  I also got to hand out the first round of black belt name badges.
